My foundation in high-pressure media began at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where I directed newsroom operations as News Director for UTC Mocs News, while mastering live technical production as a technician for Local 3 News and an intern for WTVC News Channel 9. This blend of editorial judgment and technical grit led me to the anchor desk at WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News. During my tenure at WBBJ, I commanded an authoritative on-camera presence across a 16-county coverage area in West Tennessee. I led field reporting for major breaking national events—including multi-state manhunts and high-profile criminal trials: The David Swift and Holly Bobo cases—and anchored critical political coverage alongside Governor Bill Lee and U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn. Melding my broadcast roots with a passion for entertainment, I spearheaded WBBJ’s first-ever 'On The Red Carpet' network premiere feature and conducted exclusive profile interviews with notable Hollywood icons. During his time in the Senic City, Ryan landed one-on-one interviews with NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, American Idol winner Ruben Studdard, and Mrs. Universe International Juanita Ingram, Esq.
